Missouri's Role in the Civil War

Join 4th graders from Glenridge Elementary School in Clayton, Missouri as they host this program exploring the Civil War and its effects on Missouri.  We'll take a close-up look at Missouri's role in the Civil War as RoundTrips joins you live from the Battle of Lexington State Historic Site in Lexington, Missouri. Experts from the Historic Site will share information on the battle, take students on a virtual tour of the location, and answer student questions.  Glenridge students will offer short presentations and accept student questions on four Civil War topics:  1) daily life as a soldier; 2) what it was like to be a drummer boy in the War; 3) Clara Barton's role in the War; and 4) the Battle of Wilson's Creek near Springfield, Missouri.
